The Minot Area Community Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Gary Walhaug Memorial Scholarship Fund, created in memory of the longtime Minot area educator and distinguished coach.
The fund was established through memorial gifts honoring Gary Walhaug, whose career in education and athletics included coaching women’s and men’s basketball, track and field, and cross country.
The scholarship is designed to benefit any athlete from Surrey High School, any graduating senior women’s basketball player from Minot High School – Magic City Campus or any Minot State University women’s basketball player who is continuing their education at Minot State University.
