To accommodate the various interests and needs of donors, the Foundation offers six different types of funds. Regardless of the fund you choose, you or other donors may add to it at any time.
Unrestricted
The Board of Directors has full discretion to determine how income from your fund responds to the most immediate and pressing challenges facing the community, now and in the future.
Field of Interest
Income is disbursed to a specific area of interest or concern, such as education, performing arts, or another area you choose, with flexibility.
Donor-Advised
Enables you to make grant recommendations and gives you access to the Foundation's professional staff.
Designated
You choose one or more organizations to receive distributions in perpetuity. If a benefiting organization ceases to exist, the Foundation redirects income as close as possible to your original intent.
Scholarships
Endowed scholarship awards assist students to attend a specific school or college, pursue a particular field of study, or benefit students from a particular school or community.
Agency Endowments
Nonprofit organizations seeking long-term financial stability and professional investment management can establish a permanent endowment fund here. See For Nonprofits, Agency Endowment Funds for the full list of funds already held at MACF.
