Each fall, Power of the Purse (PoP), a charitable giving circle within the Minot Area Community Foundation, accepts grant applications for projects that support women and children. PoP prioritizes initiatives where major funding can create the greatest impact on the needs and growth of the Minot region.
PoP’s grants support programs that benefit women and children in the community. Past grants have funded everything from playground equipment and bus passes for students to scholarships, therapy rooms, and community events.
Application Period: Opens each fall, on or before September 1; submission details and deadlines posted when applications open.
Application Process: Confirmed to stay as-is — no portal migration.
Award Notification: Power of the Purse members review applications at the annual fall grant meeting; applicants notified of award decisions following the meeting.
